Machinists – Weekend Shift Design Engineer – Conveyor Systems Hartness International, Inc. is seeking two Design Engineers. This position requires an individual with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent of a foreign degree in Mechanical Engineering based on any suitable combination of education, training or experience plus two years of experience in conveyor design for the packaging industry Duties: Research, design, evaluate mechanical equipment for conveyor systems and power transmission components to meet packaging industry standards and requirements by applying knowledge of engineering principles of the packaging industry. Read, interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, computer-generated reports and provide calculations for packaging machinery and conveyor systems. Improve existing conveyor systems, ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications. Research, analyze, assist in development of conveyor design specifications using Solid Works, a computer-assisted design software. Determine maintenance parameters for design and installation of conveyor systems within design schedule milestones. Work with other engineers to resolve conveyor malfunctions, implement operating procedures consistent with the packaging industry. Review conveyor specifications; monitor the installation and operation of machines according to equipment design. Interface conveyor specifications, design within organization; perform final test for quality and long-term performance of conveyor systems. Mechanical Designer Hartness is looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer. Candidate must be proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks mechanical design software. Ability to design and detail machine components along with the understanding of the manufacturing of machine components. Must also have knowledge of ANSI standards. Requirements are BSME and 3+ years machine design experience or 8+ years machine design experience. Electrical/Mechanical Assembler – 1st Shift Hartness is looking for an Electrical Mechanical Assembler. Candidate must have good organizational skills and pays close attention to detail. Must have the ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics and be willing to work overtime to meet machine schedule. Must have Mechanical and electrical assembly experience along with wiring, powering up and basic trouble shooting and testing of machines. Schooling in an electrical program of study or 2 years experience wiring and powering machines is a plus. Please
