Robotic Controls Engineer

CNC Lathe Machinist (2nd Shift or Weekend Shift)
Hartness International is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to work 2nd shift. Must be able to set-up and operate a CNC Lathe. Must possess strong organizational skills. Must have previous experience in a high paced Mfg. environment. Must be able to read blueprints, micrometers, caliper etc.
Manual Mill Machinist (Weekend Shift)
Hartness International is looking for a Manual Mill Machinist experienced with Bridgeport and Chevalier Mills. Must be efficient in Manual Mill setups, tooling and tooling adjustments. Must have the ability to machine and check parts and tighten tolerances with various tooling and gauges.
CNC Programmer (2nd Shift)
Duties:
- Develop new CNC programs and maintain existing programs
- Must be able to work with shop floor machinists and supervisors in assisting in set-up and run activities
- Must be able to work with little supervision
Experience:
- CAM experience with GibbsCam is preferred
- CAD experience with Solid Works or AutoCad is a plus
- Computer experience with MS Office, especially Excel and Word, desired
- Knowledge of tooling applications
- Advanced shop math
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Manual or CNC machining experience a plus
Shrink Service Field Engineer
Duties:
- Installation, service, repair, and maintenance of Hartness equipment and systems in the field.
- Troubleshoot, identify root causes, and solve operational issues surrounding Hartness Shrink machinery at customer locations.
- Train personnel on proper setup, operation, maintenance, and repair of Hartness shrink machines.
- Perform extensive mechanical and electrical modifications including PLC program modifications.
- Travel extensively both domestically and internationally – 90% travel.
- Build strong customer relationships to help achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- AAS in Electronics, Industrial Technology, Electrical Technology, or Mechanical Technology highly desired.
- Minimum 2 years experience in machinery maintenance.
- Strong Electrical background (some formal training required).
- Strong PLC background with programming experience in Allen Bradley’s.
- Solid knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components and their interaction.
- Must have prior experience working independently at customer facilities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated Customer Service skills.
Automation Application Engineer
We are searching for an experienced Automation Application Engineer to facilitate the delivery of automation solutions proposals.
Requirements:
- BSEE or equivalent experience
- AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel, Power Point.
- Experience with robotic picking, packing and palletizing applications.
- Experience with packing room layouts, warehouse layouts, food packaging, palletizing, pallet conveyor/pallet handling, case conveyors/sortation.
- Experience with proposal generation, cost estimation.
- Self starter able to work with minimal supervision.
- Experience with system integration, layout concept development.
- Experience with consumer goods, food, beverage, pharmaceutical, distribution/warehousing, personal care products.
- Effective oral and written communication.
Duties:
- Concept development and proposal generation for robotic packaging and palletizing systems.
- Generate layouts.
- Estimate labor & material costs.
- Technical support of sales team.
- Define and lead proof of concept studies or tests.
- Drive technology improvements & standards for robotic applications.
- Prepare order confirmations.
- Assist with project kick-off.
- Some travel required.
Sr. Project Manager
Experience Requirements:
- BS Degree in Chemical / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
- Good verbal, written, procedural and organizational skills
- Strong leadership ability
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interface with customers (external and internal)
- Good organizational and schedule management skills and the ability to multi-task
- Prior budget preparation and analysis experience
- Experienced in executing multi-discipline engineering and construction projects
- Bottling and packaging experience a plus
- Proficiency using MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, and MS Project
- General AutoCAD experience
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Must be able to obtain a passport and be willing to travel as needed (approximately 40%) to fulfill job requirements
Job Functions:
- Assist in developing and delivering project scope of work, budget, schedule and technical criteria in accordance with company, contract and client procedures and requirements
- Assist in preparing proposals, pricing, profit profiles, and other supporting documents
- Interface with clients and business development to analyze and define project requirements
- Support business development with customer visits and presentations
- Deliver projects on time and within budget
- Coordinates engineering, procurement, and construction personnel. Coordinates, approves and monitors manpower usage
- Provide effective management of the suppliers and other third parties
- Coordinates client and internal activities including design review meetings, quality assurance requirements, contract change orders and issues, issued-for-construction orders and obtains acceptance by the client of equipment and systems
- Approves purchase orders (outgoing), subcontracts and client change orders including related supplier invoices and change orders
- Prepare and deliver progress reports, schedule updates, cash flow projections and budget reports
- Presents project reviews to management, as required
- Coordinates development of start-up and related training programs at the job site, as required
- Establishes requirements for project completion (punch list.) Obtains client’s acceptance (release authorization) and final payment
