COVID-19 Updates

March 25th, 2020 1:00 PM

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the President of the United States has urged Critical Infrastructure Industry workers to continue their normal work routines to ensure that vital resources remain available to Americans. ITW Hartness, as a manufacturer of equipment, parts, and service for food, beverage, personal and household care supply industries, is considered “critical” to the nation.  Without the production and distribution of our products, we risk seeing widespread shortages of these essential daily-use products across the United States and Canada. Currently, all our facilities remain open and fully operational in order to continue meeting demands across our industry. While these are rare times for us, we are committed to serving you, our valued customers. Contact us if you need any help.

As COVID-19 (coronavirus) continues to evolve rapidly, we, like you, are coming to grips with the reality of this truly unprecedented public-health situation. The purpose of this business update is to assure you that ITW Hartness is committed to the health and safety of our employees and serving our customers at the highest level possible. Our company continues to follow expert guidance from the U.S. Center for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), and South Carolina state and local government and public-health officials.

As we closely monitor the current situation, we have acted thoughtfully and decisively to implement appropriate directives to help slow the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak. Included are these directives:

  • Banning all international travel and limiting non-essential domestic travel
  • Instituting new heath protocols at all our facilities to limit employee exposure
  • Implementing new visitor protocols, such as Health Declaration Forms for visitors and employees traveling to customer sites

On manufacturing operations, all our facilities are currently opened and fully staffed to serve all our valued customers. Our raw material supplies are generally adequate now, and we are in constant communication with our strategic supply-chain partners to mitigate any business disruptions that may occur. We are confident in our business continuity plan geared toward delivering maximum service to you to the best of our abilities.

We will continue to closely monitor the situation and provide the necessary updates as appropriate. As always, thank you for your support as we navigate this extraordinary time together.
