Controls Engineering Intern – Learning, planning and creating programs from scratch, learning the function and use of electrical control components, and understanding the industry standards that govern machine design.
Electrical Engineering Intern – Using Autocad to design and layout panels according to the NEC guidelines, arranging input/output (I/O) diagrams, machine electrical layout diagrams, and other developments as required.
R&D Mechanical Engineering Intern – Machine design and detailing, product and concept testing, and conception and design fixtures.
Computer Engineering Intern – Working alongside a small team to develop, maintain, test, and manage software for our Hartness Connect platform.
Mechanical Engineering Intern – Performing a variety of functions as it relates to the Hi-Cone Carrier Application Equipment and the Dynac Accumulation Equipment, which may include: machine design and detailing, product and concept testing, and conception and designing fixtures.
IT Intern – Provide support to the IT staff in daily tasks as well as work on special projects designed to provide real-world application in your field of study/interest
Marketing Intern – Develop and implement marketing campaigns, collaborate on product and brand management strategies and market research.
Robotics Systems Controls Intern – Work as part of an overall design team to specify control requirements and sequence of operations for robotic based automation systems.
Sales Intern – Working with the market focused sales team to learn about the different aspects of the sales cycle and participating in sales planning and translating market insights in order to accelerate market growth.
Hartness offers meaningful and relevant tasks and involvement in on-going projects where you can learn valuable technical expertise and benefit from hands-on project experience.
What to expect:
You’ll be immersed into our teams and will be assigned your own scope of work.
You’ll receive personalized support: your supervisor/ tutor will guide you in your mission and provide you with feedback on your performance, your competencies and improvements.

Duration of the internship:
We offer summer internships lasting 3 months.
