Hartness International Launches
Hartness Performance Solutions
March 2006

Hartness International introduces its newest division to further expand their capabilities in customer problem solving. The formation of Hartness Performance Solutions brings all of the Hartness video monitoring and data acquisition products under one banner. The new division was created to develop comprehensive line performance improvements through the use of their HERO video capture technology, GlobalView line data analysis products, and other emerging video based and diagnostic systems. “ Our understanding of maximizing benefits from line monitoring technologies has been greatly accelerated through its applications to our integrated lines” said Doug Stambaugh, General Manager of Hartness Integration and Hartness Performance Solutions. “Our integration projects enjoy more rapid commissioning because we are able to quickly and effectively measure performance against established baselines. The HERO pinpoints the specifics of problems that occur, and takes the guesswork out of troubleshooting the new lines.”

The HERO monitoring system has been part of the Hartness product line since 2000, and has grown to include everything from laptop portable systems to whole lines using 48 camera positions. HERO works by recording short video clips triggered by fault events. The clips are stored in an easy to use archive that provides quick access and analysis of production line errors.

Hartness GlobalView combines HERO with a SCADA type data acquisition system to provide complete line performance analysis. GlobalView maintains precise second-by-second tracking of all production centers within a line. It provides a whole line display that allows the operator to determine efficiency of all or any part of the line at a glance. The touch screen display allows fast access to in-depth data as well as fault analysis.

Hartness Performance solutions will also offer complete consultation and system design services for any size application, and for any industry including food and beverage, spirits, automotive, cosmetic, pharmaceutical, and baking.
